“In this article, the intertwined relationships of different schools of thought are pointed out and, on the basis of 21 dichotomies, which can also be useful for analyzing other schools of thought, it is shown in a condensed way that the Historical School was not an arbitrary hodgepodge of historical observations, but tried to avoid polarizations to one side of the dichotomies in each case, which are present in other schools of theory, without becoming theoretically arbitrary. Using the example of the approach to political science, which is not examined in detail here, it is shown that constructive conclusions can be drawn from the inclusive approach of the Historical School, which was also fundamental for political science, for current questions of economic policy, not only in the period of neoliberalism, which was high in the 2000s.” (H.
